Alexander Calvo

Alexander Arturo Calvo is a Panamanian American editorial photographer based in New York and Panama. 

His childhood summers were spent in Panama, with his family, tucked away exploring its lush rainforests. This world would soon become his second home and serve as the true catalyst for his life’s purpose, for it was in Panama that he first picked up a camera and realized what he was meant to do.

His love for portraiture comes from his love of people.  He believes in the art of storytelling, that we each have a story to tell and that there is hidden magic in everyone. Alex has devoted his life to capturing this essence in each of his portraits.
